My Graduate Certificate is in Strategic Communication, and I take a strategic approach to my work. However, my time working in the non-profit sector has made me capable across the entire communication cycle, from strategic planning to content development (written and visual) and publication, as well as process and policy development. Content development

I have skills in writing for a wide range of media and audiences, as well as digital marketing, graphic design, photography and video production, to name just a few.

Publication design

You can have the best content in the world, but poor publication design can make it difficult to read and reduce your impact.
I have developed several annual reports, as well as other publications (both for organisations and e-books). My most recent annual report was lauded by organisational leadership as telling the organisation’s story and impact in an approachable way.

Projects

Metrics and analysis
Having a background in maths and science (yes, it was quite a career change!), I can review and analyse your digital metrics (social media, website, e-newsletters and digital marketing) to provide advice on how you can improve. This could be on either a one-off or ongoing basis, depending on your needs.
I can also set up your communication and marketing metrics dashboards and provide guidance on what each of the analytics mean, for your continuous improvement.

Branding
Visual brand style

Starting from scratch and need guidance on your brand style? Based on your provided logo and some information about your brand, I can create a brand board that provides guidance on how to use variations of your logo, and gives suggested brand colours, typography and graphic elements such as image styles.
This guidance will meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility requirements, to ensure that your communication is accessible for a diverse range of people.

Writing style guide
Whether writing internal emails, external newsletters, letters or any other form of communication, consistent style and adherence to your brand voice is essential in building and maintaining your brand reputation.
I can develop a writing style guide suited to what your organisation needs. This can range from a simple document (around 4 to 7 pages) that provides the common guidance all employees will need, up to a detailed document (usually 35 to 55 pages) for your communication and marketing team, including how to ensure your communication is accessible and how to write for and about diverse audiences that are relevant to your organisation, or on sensitive topics.
Templates

Have you recently gotten a new brand or a rebrand but don’t know how to implement it? I can create easy-to-use templates in line with your brand, saving you time and money in the long term while providing a professional impression on your audience.
I specialise in Word and PowerPoint templates, and can create your brand kit and social media graphic templates in Canva (which, if you aren’t already aware, provides free Pro accounts to NFPs).
Social media
Whether you need help with setting up your channels, collecting and evaluating analytics to help improve, or just someone to create content and images to post for you, just let me know what you need! I can also conduct reviews of your channels and give you advice on how to adjust to increase your impact, either as a one-off meeting or a monthly consultation.
Media training
Engaging media can be the scariest part of being in non-profit management. Let me help take some of the fear away with training on how to prepare for and conduct media interviews, as well as structuring content for media releases and pitches.
Digital marketing
It can be tricky to get your ads working on Google and Meta, so let me do that fiddly work for you, including setting up your Facebook Business Manager.
For non-profits, I can also work on getting your Google Ad Grants in place, so you can get up to AUD13,000 a month in Google search advertising for free.
