I am a Ngunnawal/Canberra-based author, writer and communication and marketing consultant. My pronouns are they/them.

I have held a wide range of positions in the Australian Public Service, ACT Public Service and non-profit organisations (both local and national, including peak bodies). Over this time, I have become and experienced and versatile communication and marketing professional and now offer my skills and expertise as a consultant.

My passion for writing grew over the years and, after a vivid dream in 2013 that I thought would make a great book chapter, I decided to write it. I become enamoured with the characters, the world and the intrigue that developed each time I sat down to write.
That is not to suggest it was an easy road. It took me eight years to finally finish my first novel, The Design of Resistance.
I had not written the novel to be published, but I decided to put it out into the world anyway, and I self-published on Kobo.
Then, in 2021, I stumbled across two posts on Facebook in quick succession. The first was about how, in all the shows and books designed for teens with werewolves and vampires, it was always about romance, when young people these days are more about social justice. The second was about how such books included the saviour supernatural being, when humans could do a lot to look after their supernatural friends.
This inspired me to write a book set in such a world, where I could explore my passion for social justice through an urban fantasy setting. And for some reason, a diary-entry style called out to me.
Thus, Just Human was born and was released by Hague Publishing on 15 November 2024. Read more about it on my Novels page.
